Customize Windows 7 Build 7000 Login Screen Background
Recently, Microsoft officially allowed to change the login screen background in Windows 7 Build 7057+ without using any 3rd party software but those who have Build 7000 they can’t do it.
So I’ll tell you how to edit the login screen background in Windows 7 Build 7000. Just follow the few steps to do that:-
1. Take ownership and backup of “%windir%/System32/imageres.dll” and open it in Resource Hacker.
2. Then double-click “IMAGE” and replace the resource as your screen resolution:-
For 1280 X 1024 replace 5031
For 1280 X 960 replace 5032
For 1024 X 786 replace 5033
For 1600 X 1200 replace 5034
For 1440 X 900 replace 5035
For 1920 X 1200 replace 5036
For 1280 X 768 replace 5037
For 1360 X 768 replace 5038
For 1024 X 1280 replace 5039
For 960 X 1280 replace 5040
For 900 X 1440 replace 5041
For 786 X 1280 replace 5042
For 768 X 1360 replace 5043
3. Once you have replaced the resource with your desired one, save the file.
That’s it. Now log off or switch user to see the new background image.
Note: The new image which you will replace should be in JPEG format only.
