Speed Up Start Menu Search in Windows Vista
When you search anything using the start menu search in Windows Vista, it takes a lot of time to search. So, here is a small tweak which will speed up the search function. Just follow the below tutorial to do it:-
1. Type “regedit” in run or start menu search box.
2. Go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
Advanced.
3. Double-click on “Start_SearchFiles” on the right hand side.
4. Type “0” in the window that appears.
That’s it. Now restart your computer for changes to take place.
NOTE: You can also use a ready made registry script to do it.
