Generate Random Text in Microsoft Office Word
Microsoft Office Word has an interesting hidden feature which when you type some special characters in a empty word document and press Enter, Word will automatically fill it up with meaningful text.
1. =rand()
When you type “=rand()” (without quotes) in a empty word document and press Enter, Word will fill the document with meaningful English text. You can customize the number of paragraphs of this random text by specifying “=rand(number of paragraphs)” instead of “=rand()“.
2. =lorem()
When you type “=lorem()” (without quotes) in a empty word document and press Enter, Word will fill the document with the classic “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet…” text. You can customize the number of paragraphs of this text by specifying “=lorem(number of paragraphs)” instead of “=lorem()“.
