Restrict Access to Windows Update
If you want to restrict access to Windows Update then here is the tutorial to do it:
1. Type “regedit” in run or start menu search box and press enter.
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
If the above key does not exist then create it manually.
3. Right-click on the right-side pane and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) value. Name it “NoWindowsUpdate“.
4. Double-click the DWORD value and type “1” in the Value Data box.
That’s it. Now access to Windows Update will be restricted.
To undo it again then remove the DWORD value you have created in Step 3.
