Disable Aero Snap in Windows 7
July 27th, 2009 - Hacks, Tips & Tricks, Windows 7
Windows 7 provides a interesting feature which is called “Aero Snap”. Users can move a window toward the top of the screen to maximize the window to fill the screen automatically or drag the window to the edges of the screen to resize and expand the window vertically instantly.
But some users don’t like it and want to disable it, so here is the tutorial to do it:
1. Type “regedit” in run or start menu search box.
2. Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
3. In the right side pane, double-click on “WindowArrangementActive“.
4. Type “0” in the “Value Data” box and click on the “OK” button.
That’s it. Now restart you computer and Aero Snap will be disabled. You can also use this registry script to do it.
If you want to re-enable it in future, just repeat the above steps and type “1” instead in Step 4.
