June 14th, 2009 - Trouble-Shooting, WordPress
WordPress 2.8 got released several days ago and some of the users those who have installed it might have noticed that after trying to update or install a plugin in WordPress 2.8, the following error appears:
Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/abc-plugin.zip
Unpacking the update.
Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure
Further discussion revealed that this is one of the bug which got inside the latest WordPress 2.8 release.
To fix it you will just have to download the fixed http.php file and replace it with the old http.php located in the wp-includes directory.
Note: If you don’t get the error, there is no need to replace the http.php file.
