When you create a shortcut, you will see that there is an arrow on top of it. If want to remove it then follow the tutorial:
1. Type “regedit” (without quotes) in run or start menu and press the enter key.
2. Go to to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.
3. Right-Click on Explorer and select New>Key.
4. Type “Shell Icons” (without quotes) as the name for the key.
5. Right-Click on Shell Icons and select New>String Value.
6. Type 29 as the value for the String Value.
7. On the right side, double-click on 29 and type “%SystemRoot%Arrow.ico,0″ (without quotes).
8. Download this file and save it to C:Windows.
That’s it. Now restart your computer and check if the shortcut arrow is removed or not.
